Streepjescode of barcode is een opeenvolging van lijnen die een code representeert die door een scanner gelezen kan worden. Het zijn de breedte en de afstand tussen de donkere lijnen die ervoor zorgen dat het getal kan worden omgezet in een binaire taal die een computer kan begrijpen.
